Ennjoili Fleck2023-12-12Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have had a transformative experience at Edwards Psychiatry. As someone who has struggled with depression, anxiety, and OCD as a young adult, I have always been hesitant to rely on prescription medications due to past negative experiences and sensitivities to various drugs. Instead, I have focused on natural remedies, healthy eating habits, and maintaining a clean lifestyle. However, as I entered my early forties, I found that my anxiety, mental health, and ability to focus were greatly impacting my family, my health, and my overall success. Despite trying various alternative therapies such as acupuncture, infrared therapy, reiki, craniosacral therapy, and pelvic floor therapy, as well as maintaining a regular exercise routine, I still felt overwhelmed, sleep-deprived, forgetful, and unable to keep up with the demands of my life. My therapist and naturopathic doctor both suggested that I consider medication once again. After extensive research, reading reviews, and feeling desperate for a solution, I decided to book an appointment at Edwards Psychiatry. I was not only pleased to find a highly qualified and licensed professional, but also someone who shared my background as a person of color. The evaluations I underwent were timely and necessary, and when I finally received an ADHD evaluation, it provided answers to so many questions about myself and why I function the way I do. Despite appearing organized and put together to most people, I have been running on empty for far too long. I was initially terrified of taking medication, fearing that I would feel like a zombie or lose my sense of self. However, after carefully establishing a medication schedule and starting with a low dose, I immediately noticed a remarkable sense of balance and calm. The best part is that I finally feel like the best version of myself. No longer am I constantly running late, burning out, or engaged in a never-ending battle with time. The transition onto medication was unbelievably smooth, and to my surprise, I experienced no side effects. During my first follow-up appointment with Domenique, I was overcome with emotion as I realized just how much I had needed this help for so long. Domenique is an exceptional professional who made me feel comfortable and supported throughout the entire process. She was transparent about everything and never pushed me into taking medication. She even had a backup plan in case the initial dose didn't work for me and was always available for any questions or concerns I had between appointments. I felt safe and cared for every step of the way. I am incredibly grateful for the positive outcome of my experience at Edwards Psychiatry. It has truly been life-changing, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Rebecca Shaffer-Allen2023-12-12Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. She had never made me feel like a burden for asking questions or bringing up things that aren’t working for me. She genuinely wants to help you get to a good place and it definitely shows in the way she treats you. She is just so incredibly kind and it is very reassuring that she’s always smiling and laughing with you. Heather Snell2023-12-07Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
