Medication Management

What Is Medication Management?

Medication can be a powerful part of your mental health journey—but only when it’s guided by a provider who listens, explains, and adjusts as needed.

At Edwards Psychiatry, medication management means ongoing support—not just a prescription refill. During these sessions, we check in on how your current medications are working, explore side effects, discuss any concerns, and make adjustments to ensure your treatment continues to align with your goals and wellbeing.

For many clients, medication management works best as part of a bigger picture that may also include therapy, coaching, or lifestyle changes.

What to Expect in Each Session

Follow-up appointments are offered in two time blocks:

  • 30-Minute Check-In – $155
Ideal for routine follow-ups when your medication is stable.

  • 45-Minute Extended Session – $225
Best for more in-depth discussions, multiple medications, or when changes are being made.

You and your provider will decide together which option fits your needs. During the session, we’ll:

  • Review how your medication is affecting you—positively or negatively

  • Talk about any new symptoms or challenges

  • Discuss dosage adjustments or alternative medications

  • Handle refill needs or pharmacy concerns

  • Revisit your long-term goals and update your treatment plan

Who This Is For

Medication management is available to current clients who have completed a psychiatric evaluation with us and are already prescribed psychiatric medication.

It’s designed for clients who:

  • Are actively taking or adjusting psychiatric medications

  • Need a supportive provider to monitor and manage their treatment

  • Want to ask questions, express concerns, or check in regularly

  • Appreciate collaborative, inclusive care—not top-down instruction

For stable patients, these sessions are typically scheduled every 3 months. If you’ve gone longer without needing psychiatric support, a general medical provider may be a better fit for ongoing maintenance care.
